Garden By The Sea

As you stroll the beautiful white sand beach and watch the awe inspiring sunset, you know you have found your vacation paradise. Tall coconut trees swaying with the tropical breeze, beautiful flowers surrounding the spacious grounds, and a tropical drink quenching your thirst, as you relax by the tranquil waters of the private pool. Located in the beautiful, secure and gated community of Playa Laguna II, Garden By The Sea is an ideally located, just minutes from downtown Sosua, ten minutes from the Cabarete beaches and fifteen minutes from the Puerto Plata International Airport. This central location is the prime spot for being able to coordinate all your vacation activities. The property is situated on one half acre of mature tropical landscaping, just steps from the serene private beach.

All rooms face the sparkling swimming pool. Rooms contain either a King size bed or a queen size bed with a sofa which opens into a full size bed. Plush linens, luxurious bath products and an elegant "Boho Beach Chic" design adorn your private retreat. Air conditioning, freeWiFi, 40' Smart TVs with cable, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, safe, and iron are just a few of the amenities available in each room. Our Ecoserve water filtration system provides fresh, clean drinking water right from your tap.


A hearty American style breakfast is served daily in our outdoor cabana. Access to an outdoor covered, fully stocked kitchen with both a gas and charcoal BBQ grill provides you with the option of preparing your meals with the local bounty of fresh fruits, vegetables and proteins.

    • Cancelation Policy

      Receive a full-refund if cancelled greater than 14 days prior to your check-in date. Cancellation of reservations made prior to 14 days of arrival date are no charge and 100% refundable. As we are a small independent business, cancellations affect us greatly. Cancellation of reservations within 14 days prior to arrival date are subject to a 100% of the reservation cost fee.


      To cancel your reservation for a full refund, email nikki@gardenbytheseadr.com at least 14 days prior to your check-in date. 

    • House Rules

      All our rooms are non-smoking for reasons of health, safety and comfort for all of our guests.  We do have designated smoking areas in the pool area for our guests.  Please ask for an ashtray and respect the other guests in the area.


      We reserve the right to charge for any damage to or removal of items from the premises and/or unusual cleaning.


      No hourly rates available.


      Items left behind and requested to be mailed will incur a minimum charge of $50 and may take up to 30 days to receive. We apologize for any inconvenience. To avoid this, please be sure to thoroughly check your room for items that are of value to you prior to your departure.


      Damaged or missing items from rooms post check out will be charged to your credit card on file. These include but are not limited to remote controls, linens, pillows, mugs, room key, etc., Please inquire if you have any questions or concerns about this policy.


      You are required to relax and enjoy your stay at Garden By The Sea. We are here to help you have a fabulous vacation on the North Shore.  Please do not be afraid to ask question.  We are always happy to help.

    • Pet Policy

      We love our fury family members and we want to keep everybody safe and healthy.  So please keep your furry friend on a leash and at no time may they be left alone in the room.


      We have one friendly dog and three mischievous cats living on the property. So be mindful of your furry family member.

    • Airport Pick-up

      We can provide airport pick-up from any of the airports on the island, please contact nikki@gardenbytheseadr.com for cost and scheduling.
